Your next chapter awaits

No matter what stage of your exit planning, we guarantee complete confidentiality and a collaborative process.

The process

No matter what stage of your exit planning, we guarantee complete confidentiality and a collaborative process.
Step 1
We start with a simple, no-pressure chat.

This is your opportunity to tell us about your business, your goals, and what you’d like from a potential sale. We’ll also explain how we work and whether we’re the right fit for each other.

Step 2
If things feel like a good match, we’ll take a deeper look at your business.

We’ll review key areas such as:

  • Operations and processes
  • Financial performance
  • Market position and opportunities
Step 3
We will begin reviewing your business.

After speaking, we’ll request some numbers to review historical performance of the business, typically we ask for 3 years’ worth. (Speak to your accountant at this stage to ensure the information is accurate).

Step 4
If we’re both happy, we’ll normally meet in person.

While we prefer a site tour, we can meet off-site or out of hours to maintain confidentiality.

Step 5
We will make you an offer on your business.

Once we understand your business, we’ll make you an offer and clearly explain how we’ve arrived at that valuation.

At this stage, you may want to:

  • Speak to your accountant about tax planning
  • Seek an independent opinion if needed
Step 6
If you’re happy to proceed, we’ll issue a Heads of Terms document.

This outlines the key elements of the deal and confirms both parties’ intention to move forward, without being legally binding at this stage

Step 7
Next, we’ll carry out due diligence.

You’ll receive a structured questionnaire so we can fully understand the details of your business. While this can feel thorough, it’s a standard and essential part of the process .

We recommend involving your legal advisor to support you here.

Step 8
Once due diligence is complete, legal documentation begins.

Both legal teams will work together to finalise the contract, ensuring everything is clear, accurate, and agreed before signing .

Step 9
Agreeing on a completion date.

When everything is in place, we’ll agree on a completion date.

This is when the sale is finalised and ownership officially transfers.

Step 10
After completion.

There’s a structured handover period. We will. work closely with you to make this as seamless as possible.

This ensures a smooth transition for:

  • Customers
  • Employees
  • Ongoing operations
